Authors Are Creatives Too
This is a mixed-bag sort of article, as I continue my transformational journey through leadership, caregiving, and grief. This season, I’m noticing new ways that I’ve been using my voice to #ShowUpYOU (as me!). For some of you, you’ll recognize that tag. Show Up YOU is a course I offer with unique curriculum I created in service of humans in business. I have a growing WaitList you are welcome to join if you are interested in working with me 1:1 or in an online course. Simply fill out that form and let me know how I may be of service, and we’ll set up a 15 minute chat!
I used to work exclusively with entrepreneurs, brands, collaborative teams. I help them understand how to SHOW UP in a way that builds True Community locally and globally, if that’s what is desired and required.
Lately, since I’ve become a 2X International bestselling author, I’ve been in more conversations than ever before. I’ve guested on more podcasts than I can count. I’ve been featured in major publications, and some small ones as well. I’ve even been on live radio…so much fun, all of it! The conversations often come back around to how, as a human full of empathy and firey passion, I negotiate my personal and business life through all the twists and turns. In fact, I believe that business is personal, and I wrote a previous blog post about that here.
Today, mainly because there’s been a demand for it, through all of these conversations I’ve had with people in my life, and “strangers” who are reaching out to me in many ways, I am also serving writers and authors to Show Up YOU, as the creative beings they are.
Bottom line is that even though I used to tell myself (a big fat lie) that I wasn’t creative, I have begun to view myself in this role as well as all the others I hold. I am proud of myself that I asked to be included. The answer was a warm and welcoming “YES”, even though there had never been a local author there before.
So, I feel like a new transformational journey in leadership is tacking onto my previous paths. It is sometimes surprising to me that I’m showing up in these new ways. And I long to do more of this kind of community building as I share my own art and work with others who want to do the same.
There’s so much more in this conversation, and I’d much rather have it F2F (Face To Face) or at least on a quick phone call, so let’s connect soon, shall we?
